Mamie Ledure

Mamie Aline LeDure, 102 years of age, entered the gates of Heaven on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 9:30 pm. She was born near Commerce, Missouri to John Gustav and Lucy Spraker Sander on October 23, 1916. She married Leo Joseph LeDure on December 20, 1933. He preceded her in death on September 6, 1998.

Mamie was a member of the Commerce Community Club and the St. Paul United Methodist Church. She loved quilting; working in her flower and vegetable gardens and cooking. Anyone who walked through her door was welcome at her table but most of all she loved her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons, Bob, Edwin and Roy LeDure; a daughter, Wanda Reed; four daughters-in-law, Pat, Lois, Pam and Wilma LeDure all of Commerce; 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, 5 step great-grandchildren and a step great-great grandchildren plus many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Garland and Donald LeDure; a daughter, June Medlin; three brothers, Leeman, Elwood and Ralph Sander; four sisters, Pauline Gutridge, Iris Graff, Jewel Putz and Lucy Noland.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm at the chapel with Rev. Michael Woods officiating.

Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce.
