Madelyn I. Schmucker

Madelyn Schmucker, daughter of Rev. Peggy Adams of Texas and the late Rev. Frederick Schmucker was born on February 29, 1960 in Texas and departed this life on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 60 years.

She loved to gather with family, and will be remembered for her kind and gentle soul. She especially loved her children. In her younger years she loved camping and hiking, playing guitar, and had a deep appreciation of music.

Mrs. Schmucker was a self-employed property manager and a resident of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

In June of 1994 she was united in marriage to Allan Lee Sample in Cape Girardeau.

Besides her husband and mother, survivors include one son, Zachary Sample of Cape Girardeau; by one daughter, Megan Sample of Cape Girardeau; by one brother Fred Schmucker Jr.; by three sisters, Helen Spencer, Margaret Schmucker, and Rebecca Schmucker.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by one sister, Beth Schmucker.

Memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Arrangements conducted by the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
