Mackie Childers

Mackie Childers, 71 of Scott City, Missouri, beloved brother and uncle passed away February 26, 2020. He was born November 2, 1948 in Pike County, Kentucky to the late Everett Lee and Verta Lee Childress Childers.

He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam War. After the war, he was employed as a line assembler in Texas. He moved to live in Scott City with his late 44-year companion, Wayne Toton of Scott City. He was a member of the Christian church in Scott City.

He is survived by his siblings; Eddie Childers and Jackie Childress of Chester, Virginia and Dottie Clouse of Lexington, Kentucky.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am -11:00 am on Tuesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday at the chapel.

Burial will be in Portageville Cemetery in Portageville, Missouri.
