Mabel Schaefer

Mabel Nell Schaefer, 85 of Clermont, Florida formerly of Scott City, Missouri died Monday, November 23, 2020 at her home.  She was born December 23, 1934 in Delta, Missouri to Leo Daniel and Beulah Agnes Surface Simmons.  She married Andrew Lawrence Schaefer on September 5, 1975 in Scott City.  He preceded her in death on August 30, 1996.

She was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church in Scott City and a volunteer at Southeast Hospital for 20 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Cindy Killian of St. Louis, Missouri and Debbie (Roy) Griffaw of Clermont, Florida; a son-in-law, Rob Killian of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Doris Spencer of Pensacola, Florida; five grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be from 12:00 – 12:30 pm on Sunday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Graveside service will be at 1:00 pm at Lightner Cemetery in Scott City with Rev. Michael Woods officiating.

The family requests masks to be worn at the services.
