Lonnie Ray Crews, 75 of Scott City, Missouri died Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Saint Francis Medical center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born November 25, 1946 in Rives, Missouri to Oscar and Fleeta Scott Crews. He married Cheryl King on September 27, 1973. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scott City, and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and served in Vietnam. He is survived by his wife; Cheryl; a daughter, Cherie Tredway of St. Charles, Missouri; a special niece he thought of as a daughter, Tracy Baelum; three brothers, Elwood (Marie) Crews, J.E. Crews and Kenneth (Brenda) Crews; three sisters, Virginia Lowery, Barbara (George) Clark, Eunice (Cecil) Anderson; a brother-in-law, Andy King; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren and numerous special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister. Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm on Tuesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday at the chapel with Rev. Joe McCullough officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City with full military honors.
