Lisa Thomas, daughter of the late Carla Hatfield-Aldridge, departed this life in Cape Girardeau, Missouri Thursday, February 8, 2024. Her loss is completely unexpected and her family and friends are profoundly saddened. She was 51 years old.
Lisa was born Feb. 12, 1972 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She attended school in Poplar Bluff and worked at Anderson Home Furnishing for many years. She moved to Cape Girardeau in 2007 to be closer to her family. She worked at Gilster Mary Lee in Perryville, Missouri for the past 10 years.
Lisa enjoyed cooking, bargain hunting, crafts and spending time with family. She embodied a spirit of strength and resilience that carried her through difficult times. She could always make you laugh and was kindhearted and generous.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Margie Hatfield and her mother Carla Hatfield-Aldridge.
Those left to mourn this terrible loss are her sister Tia (Mark) Fadler of Jackson, Her Aunt Donna (Jim) Patterson of Barrington, Illinois. Her niece and nephew, Shelby Huskey and Conner Fadler of Jackson and great nieces, Luna and Willow Huskey of Jackson.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date to celebrate her life.
