Lisa Mitchem

Lisa Gaye Mitchen, 62 of Jonesboro, Illinois died Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  She was born June 24, 1959 in East Prairie, Missouri to the late Dana and Deloma Jean Jones McCourt.  She married Rodney Mitchem and he preceded her in death on May 31, 2015.

She worked for the Hat Factory in Oran, Missouri.  She was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Benton.  She loved to fish and set on the deck and play with dogs.

She is survived by fiancé Scott Griffith of Jonesboro IL;  her son Michael (Shelly) Roberds of Millersville MO; grandson, Dalton Roberds of Millersville MO; Two brothers in law Scott (Naoko)Mitchem of L.A. California and Russell Mitchem of Sikeston; a Sister Crystal(Todd) Gosche of Commerce MO; Six nieces Beth(Larry) Pulliam, Madisyn (Ryan) Gosche-Tellez of Benton, Maiko(Matt)Greenleaf of Arcadia CA, Cynthia Mitchem of L.A. California, Bailey Mitchem of Bell City MO, and Bailey(Josh) Hulvey of Marble Hill MO; Two nephews Trey(Jordon) Gosche of Benton MO, and William Scott Mitchem of Bell City MO; a great niece  MaKynna Gosche-Tellez; a great nephew and Trace Gosche of Benton MO, and  her Father in law Richard (Ella)Mitchem of Scott City.

Preceded in death by her mother and father Dana an Jean McCourt, Mother in law Jean Mitchem , and Late husband Rodney Mitchem and her maternal & paternal grandparents.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on January 8, 2022 at the Unity Baptist Church in Benton, Missouri.
