Lillian Caroline Westrich, daughter of the late Phillip Schwartz and Bertha Grojean Schwartz was born on November 16, 1936 in New Hamburg, Missouri and passed away at her home in New Hamburg. She entered into her heavenly place on Thursday, September 24, 2020 surrounded by her loving husband, daughters, and grandchildren at the age of 83 years.
Lillian was a homemaker and an active member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She was a member of the St. Ann’s Sodality and the New Hamburg Homemaker’s Club. She will be remembered for her homemade noodles and dumplings, sewing outfits for her daughters and grandchildren, and her delicious cookies all of which were made with love.
On May 11, 1957 she was united in marriage to Marvin E. Westrich in New Hamburg and they were happily married for 63 years.
In addition to her husband, survivors include four daughters, Kristie Milam of Kelso, Missouri, Rhonda (Greg) Riley of New Hamburg, Cheri (Rick) Klipfel of Benton, and Carri (Rodney) Dock of New Hamburg; one brother, Bill Schwartz of Scott City; two sisters, Phyllis Westrich of Florissant, Missouri and LaVerne (Lyle) Cook of Richmond, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Trevor (Mary) Milam, Mallory Milam (fiancé Tyler Cady), Jenny (Travis) Estes, Justin Riley, Cara (Brandon) Dirnberger, Carissa (Amos) Helms, Jessica Dock, Danielle Dock (Justin Cox), and Alexis Dock (fiancé, Michael Bledsoe); and ten great-grandchildren, Jacob, Kayleigh, Emma, Caleb, Carlie, Leigha, Tucker, Berkley, Brayley , and Reid.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2020 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Bala Swamy Govindu officiating with the rosary beginning at 9:30 A.M. Interment will follow in the St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery.
Family has requested that memorials be made to St. Lawrence Catholic Church or to the Southeast Cancer Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
