Letha Sexton

Letha G. Sexton, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully with her daughter Lisa and granddaughter Vironica holding her hands on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at the Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 87 years.

Mrs. Sexton was united in marriage to Bobby Sexton Sr. on April 16, 1955 in Hernando, Mississippi.  Mr. Sexton preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Lisa (Bobby Holland) Robertson of Oran; three sons, Bobby (Kathy) Sexton of Chaffee, David (Angie) Sexton of Dexter, and Terry Sexton Sr. of Troy, Missouri; by one nephew, Mike Myer that she loved like a son; eleven grandchildren, Elizabeth (Daniel) Edwards of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Elaine (Austin) Carroll of Chaffee, David (Nichole) Sexton Jr. of Chaffee, Chris (Rebecca) Sexton of Whitewater, Stephen Sexton of Poplar Bluff, Terry (Rachel) Sexton Jr. of Moscow Mills, Missouri, Christina (Angie) Sexton of St. Louis, Missouri, Heather (Shane) Parker of Scott City, Emma (Josh) Sexton of Perryville, Wesley (Chelsie) Robertson of Benton, and Vironica Robertson of Oran; by thirteen great grandchildren, Connor Edwards, Addilynn Carroll, Kayle Huck, Sammie Sexton, Terry Sexton III, Alision Sexton, Libby Parker, Scarlet Parker, Paxtion Parker, Aubrey Robertson, Kinsley Robertson, Greyson Sexton and Grant Robertson, also, by other relatives and friends.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, August Leist and Mary Helen (Drumond) Leist; her beloved daughter at birth, Rose Marie Sexton, sister, Altha Francis King (Richard) McLean, sister, Mary Helen (Dub) Morgan; and one niece that she loved like a daughter, Nancy Helen Myer.

Private family visitation will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 with a public graveside service at 1:00 P.M. in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery near Morley with Rev. Mike Blisset officiating.  Interment will follow.
