Lester Lee Garrett, son of the late Leslie Jacobs and Irene Garrett was born on January 5, 1945 in Commerce, Missouri and departed his life on Saturday, February 8, 2025 in Sikeston, Missouri at the age of 80 years.

He was a former truck driver for Jerry Lipps Inc. in Scott City and a resident of Benton, Missouri.

On February 11, 1966 he was united in marriage to Barbara Mae Burton in Scott City.  Mrs. Garrett preceded him in death on December 5, 2016.

Survivors include one son, Jim (Angela) Garrett of Jackson; three daughters, Cindy Ann Joyce and Angela Renee Cagle both of Benton and Leslie Ann (Shawn) Warren of Sikeston; one brother, Jim Jacobs of Oklahoma; two sisters, Lois Moon of Missouri and Betty Stone of Alabama; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; also, by other relatives and close friends.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters, and one grandson, James Patrick Joyce II.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.  Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Interment will follow in the Lighter Cemetery.
