Laverne Bader

Laverne Marie Bader 66, of Scott City, MO died Friday, February 5, 2021 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.  She was born November 6, 1954 in Cape Girardeau, MO to William Joseph and Bertha Agnes Backfisch Glastetter.  She married Louis “Butch” Bader on July 26, 1975.

She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Ladies Auxiliary Knights of Columbus and Ladies Sodality of Church.

She is survived by her husband, Louis “Butch” Bader of Scott City; two brothers, Edward (Sharon) Glastetter of Scott City and Gary (Brenda) Glastetter of Cape Girardeau and a sister, Linda Kesterson of Scott City.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Billy and Gerald Glastetter.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Visitation on Wednesday from 9:00 -10:00 am at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.

Funeral mass will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday at the church with Rev. Michael Casteel as celebrant.

Burial will be in St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery in Kelso.
