Larry Hassell Scott
Larry Scott, son of the late Earl Hassell Scott and Christine Cantrell Scott was born on February 11, 1945 in Crowder, Missouri and departed this on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 75 years.
Mr. Scott was a former Cotton Gin Operator for Vanduser Gin Company for 34 years, Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War. Larry was an avid outdoors man and was a resident of Lowndes, Missouri.
On January 3, 2015 he was united in marriage to Beverly Wilfong in Taney County, Missouri. Mrs. Scott survivors of the home in Lowndes.
Besides his wife, other survivors include two daughter, Chrisy Scott of Plattsmouth, Nebraska and Suzanne Scott of Sikeston, Missouri; one step-son, Gregory Rublaitus, of Washington State; two, step-daughters, Laura Duncan of St. Louis and Pamela Stewart of Fairview Heights, Illinois; by one sister, Geraldine Scott Karnes (Ival Gene) of Sikeston; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and two step- great-grandchildren; very special niece and nephew Darla Hamlin from Hollister, Missouri and Craig Karnes from Bertrand, Missouri also with many great and great-great nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one nephew Ricky Dean Karnes and one great nephew Ryan Scott.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 10:00 until 12:30 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Funeral services will then be conducted on Wednesday at 12:30 with Rev. Jeremy Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery.
