Larry D. Hanback

Larry Hanback, son of Jane Hanback and the late Doyle Hanback, was born on September 6, 1961 in Sikeston, Missouri. On May 27, 1982, he married the love of his life, Pamela M. Wagoner in Benton, Missouri. Together, they shared many years of happiness raising their children. Larry gained his wings on Saturday July 13, 2019 at his residence in Scott City, Missouri at the young age of 57.

Larry was a former Engineer for Union Pacific Railroad. He was known well for his genius abilities and hard work. Even from a young age, he had a determination for tinkering with and fixing anything and everything. He was always doing for others. He had a passion for Hot Rods, Harley Davidson Motorcycles, Jeeps, taking on new challenges, cooking his family’s favorites, and beach vacations with his family. He enjoyed anytime that he was able to be with his family and friends. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Larry leaves behind a family that he loved dearly. Besides his wife and mother, other survivors include his two sons, Travis Hanback (Shannon) of Chaffee and Chris Hanback (Chelsey) of Scott City; by one daughter, Tori Marie Hanback of Scott City; one sister, April Hanback of Gravel Hill, Missouri; by six grandchildren, Leyton Hanback, Kason Hanback, Alexis Hanback, Larissa Hanback, Abbigale Hanback, and Kai Hanback; by his mother-in-law, Wanda McAlister Vogel; by one sister-in-law, Rhonda Freeman; by two special aunts, Bonnie and Lyda Chasteen; by three nephews, Trevor Coomer, Michael Westrich, and Timmy Westrich; also by two nieces, Christina Johnson and Anne Westrich.

Friends and family may gather for visitation at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee from 11:00 until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday July 17, 2019. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tommy Miller officiating. Larry will be laid to rest at the Lightner Cemetery in Scott City, Missouri.
