Kenneth A. Davie, 73, of Chaffee passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022, at The Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born on April 8, 1949, in Cape Girardeau to Alvin and Margaret Cook Davie. On August 9, 1975 he was united in marriage to Deborah Siebert in Chaffee and to this union three children were born. Kenneth is survived by his wife Deborah, his three children, Gretchen Davie of Denver, Colorado, Nichole (Jonathan) MacLellan of Des Peres, Missouri, and Alex (Kristin Wolff) Davie of St. Louis, Missouri, also by six grandchildren, Ella, Anna, Jonathan, Addison, Roland, and Greta MacLellan. He is also survived by three brothers, Larry G. (Angela) Davie of Cape Girardeau, John R. (Patricia) Davie of Cape Girardeau, and Robert L. Davie of Fruitland; a sister, Judith A. (Don) Mika of Kansas City. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Stephen M. Davie. Mr. Davie was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam war from March 26, 1969 until October 30, 1970. He worked for Buzzi Unicem USA for 41 years. Kenneth was a member of the Oran Knights of Columbus, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3838, and the St. Ambrose Men’s club. He was a self-proclaimed “jack of all trades and expert of none.” He spent his free time on the golf course with friends and family, winning money at the Black Jack table, enjoying time with his grandchildren, and visits to the beach. He never met a stranger and his presence will be missed by many. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M., Thursday, May 12, 2022 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Eucharistic celebration will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. in the St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee with Father Joseph Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Ambrose Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Ambrose School or Glioblastoma Foundation in memory of Kenneth Davie. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
