Kathryn Joan Surface

Kathryn Joan Surface, daughter of the late William Crader and Lenora (Drennan) Crader was born on June 2, 1936 in Allenville, Missouri and departed her life on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri at the age of 87.

Mrs. Surface was a former employee of Florsheim Shoe Company until retirement and a member of The Church of God in Jackson, Missouri.

On October 30, 1955 she was united in marriage to Rev. Alvie Lee Surface in Mississippi.  Mr. Surface preceded her in death on October 30, 2019.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara (Dennis) Cook and Sarah Abernathy all of Chaffee; two brothers, David Crader and Joe Crader of Delta, Missouri; by two sisters, Linda Hale of Jackson and Peggy Miles of Cape Girardeau; by two grandchildren, Christina Cook of Chaffee and Rebecca (Jason) Ramos of Fruitland; by three great-grandchildren, Jordyn Obermann of Chaffee, Willow Ramos and Autumn Ramos both of Fruitland, Missouri.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Jack Crader; also, by one sister, Kay Uhrhan.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 9:00 until 10:00 AM at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee.  Funeral services will then be conducted at 10:00 AM at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.  Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
