Kathryn Mcguire Richards

Kathryn Ann Richards, 56 of Oran, Missouri passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 at the Sikeston Convalescent Center with her family comforting her.

She was born on August 1, 1967 in Kansas City, Missouri, daughter of Mickey McGuire and Laura Carr McGuire.

She was united in marriage to Nathan Richards on April 27, 2002 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Oran, Missouri where her parents are members.

Her parents left Missouri in 1970 for a job opportunity and raised their family in Covina, California before returning to Missouri in April of 1996; settling in Oran.

Besides her parents, Mickey and Laura McGuire of Oran and husband, Nathan Richards of Oran, survivors include three daughters, Samantha (Dennis) VanDover of Honolulu, Hawaii, Islay (Jesse) McElreath of Dutchtown, and Rebecca (Braden) Carpenter of Roy, Utah; by one son, Jayce Williams of the home in Oran; two brothers, Keith (Madelyn) McGuire of Racine, Wisconsin and Michael (Penny) McGuire of Chaffee, Missouri; seven grandchildren; also by a multitude of nieces and nephews who love and will miss their crazy Auntie.

A celebration of life gathering along with a private interment will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to her Go Fund Me Page to help her husband and son.  She was also a big animal lover and would appreciate donations being made to Mac’s Mission in Jackson, Missouri or Southeast Missouri Pets in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
