Kandius Lee Schleinger, 62, of Benton, passed away on Monday, June 15 at St. Francis Mediacal Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born on June 17, 1957 in St. Louis, MO the daughter of Charles Lee and Donna Lee Elliff Martin.
She first married Herbert Bonney and he preceded her in death on January 19, 2001. She then married Ricky Schleinger on Oct. 6, 2001 in Benton, MO. Kandius worked as a sales clerk at Winks in Scott City
She is survived by her husband Ricky Schleinger; a son Travis Schleinger of Benton and his brother, Larry Lacey of West Virginia; a daughter Trisha Bonney of Marble Hill; a sister Cheryl Willkomm of Bertrand and her nephew Charles “Justin” Willkomm.
She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers Richard Martin and Charles Martin, Jr. and 2 sisters Deann Martin and Kara Martin.
Visitation will be Thursday from 12 to 2:00 pm at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral service will be on Thursday at 2:00 pm at the chapel with the Rev. Larry Rouse officiating.
