Josephine Tate
Sally Josephine Tate, daughter of the late Fred Albert Harmon and Alberta Bradley Harmon was born on March 24, 1920 in Hickeytown, Arkansas and departed this life on Saturday May 30, 2020 at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee at the age of 100 years.
Mrs. Tate was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oran, Missouri for 65 years, retired from the Oran Public School district, and a former resident of Oran.
On July 30, 1938 she was united in marriage to James J. Tate in Sikeston, Missouri. Mr. Tate preceded her in death on October 10, 2006.
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis D. Pearson (Alfred) of Oran and Regina Griffin (Roy) of Sikeston, Missouri; one brother, Bob Harmon; by seven grandchildren, Jennifer Rush, Adrienne Pratt, Joie Green, Kellee Holmes, Tara Lawson, Jeremy Griffin, and Elizabeth Griffin; by fourteen great-grandchildren, Addison Pratt, Ella Rush, Easton Rush, Joseph Green, Ashleigh Green, Linda Holmes, Lane Holmes, Levi Holmes, Logan Ray, Sadie Griffin, Jack Griffin, Kirstyn Lawson, Ryder Lawson, and Brahm Lawson; by one great-great-grandchild, Nora Leigh Green.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Fred Harmon Jr., by three sisters, Hazel Anthony, Imogene Uptain, and Mary Gentry.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday June 3, 2020 at the Forest Hills Cemetery in near Morley, Missouri with Rev. Donnie Ford officiating. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran conducting arrangements.
