John W. Stroder

John Stroder, son of the late John Stroder Sr. and Dorothy Jean Brown Stroder was born on August 13, 1948 in Gravel Hill, Missouri and departed this on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 72.

Mr. Stroder was a United States Navy Veteran of the Vietnam area and member of the Chaffee General Baptist Church. John was an extraordinary autobody repairman and a resident of Chaffee.

On October 10, 1999 he was united in marriage to Carol Martin in Chaffee, Missouri. Mrs. Martin survives of the home in Chaffee.

Besides his wife, survivors include one son, Clinton (Michelle) Stroder of Chaffee; one daughter, Gina Beggs (Richard Trout) of Oran; two step daughters, Tonya (Sam) Glency of Chaffee and Rebecca White of Chaffee; five grandchildren, Courtney Austin, Karlee Beggs, Gavin , Libertie, and Beckam Stroder; by one great granddaughter, Logan; three step-grandchildren Tyler, Katelyn, and Tanner; one step-great-grandson, Braxton; by three nieces, Debe, Darlene, and Shelly; also by four great-nieces and nephew, Briley, David, Shelby, and Bailey.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Melba McCall; and by his mother-in-law; Jean Jurgovan.

Memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. in the General Baptist Church in Chaffee with Rev. Bob Lewis officiating.
