John “HORSE” Roberts

John William Roberts, son of the late Alva Richard Roberts Jr. and Betty Jane Adams Roberts was born on June 10, 1954 in Advance, Missouri and departed his life on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at his residence in Scott City, Missouri at the age of 68 years.

He was a former Deckhand for Missouri Barge Lines and several other barge companies.

Survivors include two brothers, Robert David Roberts and Joseph Edward Roberts; by four sisters, Carlotta Dianna Luthy, Jennenne Nicole Littlepage, Betty Jane Bridwell, and Mary Victoria Lynn.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Alva Richard Roberts III.

Interment will take place later at the Roberts Family Cemetery in Bollinger County, Missouri.  Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapels will be assisting with arrangements.
