John Moss

John Walter Moss, 65 of Jackson, Missouri died Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  He was born November 28, 1956 in Chaffee, Missouri to Lloyd Henry and Esther Ellen Welker Moss.  He married Sheila Jean Keys on November 23, 2006 in Jackson.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila of Jackson; a son, James (Sarah) Moss of Scott City; two stepsons, James (Julie) Ryan of St. Louis, Missouri and Robert (Casey) Schearf of Delta; a daughter, Paula (Susan) Moss of Scott City; a step daughter, Veronica Schearf of Cape Girardeau and many other sons and daughters that called him dad; two sisters, Teresia (James) Angelroth and Lisa (Ted) Hooker of Jackson; twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Kathy Moss.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Friday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm at the chapel with Rev. Ken Harper officiating.

Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
