Joseph “JOE” Waechter

Joe Waechter, son of the late Robert Waechter and Beverly Miller was born on October 21, 1948 in South Bend, Indiana and departed his life on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Saint Francis Emergency Room in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 74 years.

He was the owner and operator of Joe’s Construction for many years and enjoyed working outdoors on his farm in Scott City.

On June 14, 1969 he was united in marriage to Gloria Sue Rinehart.  Mrs. Waechter survives of the home in Scott City.

Besides his wife, other survivors include two daughters, Christine (Scott) Kruse of White Pigeon, Michigan and Sandra (Edwin) Charles of Albion, Indiana; two sisters, Diane Tiser of Cassopolis, Michigan and Sharon Johnson of Osceola, Indiana; five grandchildren, Lindsay Schultz, Travis (Faith) Schultz, Ashley Charles, Michaela (Derek) Zegers, and Chloe (Michael) Bales; also, by one great-granddaughter, Emma Schultz.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Michael Waechter two brothers, John Waechter and Robert Waechter, Jr.
