Joanne Marie Legrand

Joanne Marie LeGrand, daughter to the late Cornelius J.  and Christina Elmeda (King) LeGrand was born on June 7, 1943 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed this life on January 29, 2025 at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri at the age of 81 years.

She was a member of St, Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee. Joanne was the secretary for the Legion of Mary for many years, she loved going on the annual March for Life bus trips in Washington DC, was also a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by three brothers, Bob LeGrand of Chaffee; Larry (Brenda) LeGrand of Litchfield, IL and Bill (Teresa) LeGrand of Kelso; two nephews, Jason LeGrand and Steven LeGrand; two nieces, Natalie Dittmer and Valerie Seyer; also surviving are 23 great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Parish Rosary will be held at 4:00 pm at the funeral home Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee with Rev. Joseph Kelly as celebrant. Burial will follow at the St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery in Chaffee.
