JOANN M. SCHOTT

JoAnn Schott, daughter of the late Benjamin H. Hennemann and Luvina Winkler Hennemann was born on August 16, 1937 in Perry County, Missouri and departed this life on Friday, April 17, 2020 at the Monticello House in Jackson, Missouri at the age of 82 years.

Mrs. Schott was a former Administrative Assistant for General Contract Loan Company in Sikeston and retired from the First Commercial Bank in Morley. She was a member of the Guardian Angel Catholic Church where she serviced as Secretary of the Guardian Angel Parish Council, K.C. Ette’s, and the St. Ann Sodality. JoAnn was currently residing at the Monticello House in Jackson and was a former resident of Oran.

On April 27, 1957 she was united in marriage to John A. Schott and to this union three daughters and two sons were born. Mr. Schott survives of the home in Oran.

Besides her husband John Schott, survivors include, three daughters, Cindy Laskowitz of Pocahontas, Missouri, Denise Menz (Greg) of Benton, and Renee Reinagel (Jeff) of Kelso; two sons, Kent Schott (Traci) of Jackson, Tennessee, Rick Schott of Jackson, Missouri; three brothers, James Hennemann of Cape Girardeau, Donnie Hennemann of Kelso, and Alan Hennemann of Benton; two sisters, Jeannie Fodge and Geri Lynn Hennemann both of Benton; also by thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Andrew Laskowitz; one brother, Ralph Hennemann and by one sister, Yvonne McVay.

Private visitation and funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020 beginning at 9:30 A.M. at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran with a private interment following in the Guardian Angel Cemetery with Father Randy Tochtrop officiating.

In memory of Mrs. Schott’s, in lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Alzheimer’s Association Greater Missouri, 9370 Olive Blvd, St. Louis, Missouri 63132 or Birthright, 2633 Hopper Rd., Cape Girardeau, Missouri 63701.
