Jimmy Joe Metcalf

Jimmy Joe Metcalf, age 78, went home to be with his Lord, February 23, 2022 at home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born in Boise, Idaho on December 15, 1944.

On July 29, 1966, he was united in marriage to Linda Kay Hunsaker at the Church of God, in Chaffee, Missouri and she survives of the home.

Jim was a Union cement mason and retired from the local 797 in Las Vegas, Nevada. When He retired, they settled in Cape Girardeau and became owners of their small family business, SEMO SMOKES.

Jim leaves behind his wife Linda; a son, Mark Daniel Metcalf, of

Cape Girardeau; a daughter in law, Diane (Watkins) Metcalf, of Jackson Missouri; a grandson, Chris Jr.; a granddaughter, Shannon; four beautiful great-granddaughters, Zoey, Bristol, Grace, Irie. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Christopher Eugene Metcalf Sr.; five brothers and a sister.

There will be no services as Jim requested, but we do appreciate your love and prayers during this difficult time. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
