Jimmie Dale Myers

Jimmie Dale Myers, son of the late Edgar “Beck” Myers and Zalma Marie Schmidt was born on April 7, 1941 at Oak Ridge, Missouri and departed his life on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at his residence in Rockview, Missouri at the age of 82 years.

He was a self-employed Farmer for over 30 years, former employee of 5-H Ranch in Jackson, Missouri, and a 12-year employee of Blair Industry. He was a Veteran of the National Guard trained as a sharp shooter.  He was also an avid Deer Hunter and enjoyed wearing camouflage.

He was first united in marriage to Linda H. Mouser and to this union three children where born.  On March 1983 he was united in marriage to Rose Ella White in Rockview, Missouri.  She survives of the home in Rockview.

Besides his wife, survivors include one son, Stephen (Dana) Myers of Marquand, Missouri; two daughters, Becky (Mark) Schwartz of Cape County and Angela Kay Griffith of Bollinger County; six grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; one step-son, Jason Weaver of Chaffee; two sisters, Barbara (Bill) King of Oak Ridge and Cathy Jo Dement of Dexter.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Myers; two grandsons, Cody Myers and Wade Myers; and by one nephew, Allen Sharrock.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee.  Funeral services will then be conducted at 1:00 PM with Rev. Gwen Streeter officiating.  Interment will follow in the Old Goshen Cemetery near Oak Ridge, Missouri.
