Jimmie Lee Edmondson

Jimmie Edmondson, son of the late Jimmy and Mamie Edmondson was born on November 5, 1926 in Sikeston, Missouri and departed this life on Monday, March 1, 2021 in Sikeston, Missouri at the age of 94 years.

Mr. Edmondson was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II, self-employed Farmer, and a member of the Sikeston First Baptist Church.

On June 13, 1948 he was untied in marriage to Ada Mae Snider. Mrs. Edmondson preceded him in death on June 20, 2020.

Survivors include one son, Jimmy C. (Janet) Edmondson of Oran, Missouri; one daughter, Susan (Ron) Watkins of Sikeston, Missouri; five grandchildren, Dr. Cami Watkins, Miranda Wilheit, Rebecca Parker, Letha Bartels, and Cari Mercurio; also, by seven great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Dylan Sparks; a sister, Dixie Wilson and a brother, Bill Edmondson.

Visitation will be held from Noon until 2:00 Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Funeral services with then be conducted at 2:00 P.M. in the Amick-Barnett Funeral Chapel in Oran with Rev. Mitchell Jackson officiating. Interment will follow on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors.
