Jessica Kendrick Barnes, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family November 17, 2021, at the age of 44.  She is survived by her husband, Jason Barnes, three sons, Luke Barnes, David Posey, and Jaxon Barnes.  She is also survived by her mother Cynthia Kendrick, brother Robert Kendrick (Pam), sister Cindy Minor, brother Landon Kendrick (Connie), father-in-law, Eldon (Jan) Barnes, mother-in-law Doris (Bob) Arnett.  Surviving brothers-in-law are Jeff (Jessica) Barnes, Justin (Rikki) Arnett, Jared (Jaime) Arnett, and Justus (Meghan) Arnett.  Jessica is survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Jessica was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Kendrick; by her brother, Poly Kendrick; also by aunt, Veb Woodruff.

Jess will be remembered for her sweet smile, feisty personality and love for babies.  She will also be remembered as a warrior in her fights against cancer.  Jess was diagnosed and beat breast cancer at the age of 35, then cancer came to fight with her again last September.  She fought a courageous battle against esophageal cancer for over a year until it was time for her to go home with her brother and dad that she has missed so much.  We will spend a lifetime keeping her in our hearts and her memory alive as her one wish was to make sure if she ever had grandbabies to make sure they knew how much she loved them.

We will honor Jess with a family visitation at 3pm on Friday November 19th, at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, Missouri followed open visitation after 4pm with a service at 6:00pm.  Graveside service will be Saturday November 20th at 1pm in Ellington Memorial Cemetery in Ellington, Missouri.
