Jess Harrell

Jess Henry Harrell, 84, of Chaffee, departed this life on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at his home.

He was born in Brownwood, Missouri to the late G.C. and Stella George Harrell.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from the BNSF Railway in 1998.  He was a member of Chaffee Elks Lodge 1810 and Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Advance, MO.

He was a jack of all trades, loved spending time at his place on Castor River, hunting, fishing, making wine and entertaining friends and family.

To cherish his memory, he leaves four children.  Tina (Mark) Pobst, Chaffee, MO, Craig (Heather) Harrell, Raymond, MS, Jill (Brian) Henning, Hobbs, NM and Bobby (Kay) Harrell, Raymond, MS.  He is survived by 15 grandchildren. Nathan (Kassy) Harrell, Nashville, TN, Mary Grace (John Michael) Sledge, Gluckstadt, MS, Cody (Antoinette) Duniphan, Arvada, CO, Macy (Joel Saenz) Duniphan, Hobbs, NM, Charles Henning, Las Cruces, NM, Caleb Henning, Albuquerque, NM, Sara Henning, Las Cruces, NM, Hannah Harrell, Raymond, MS, Katie (Josh) Workman, Pearl, MS and Justin (Chelsea) Roebuck, French Camp, MS.  He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, with 3 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild on the way. A sister, Janet Welter, Kelso, MO also survives along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jess is survived by his selfless and loving partner, Mary Dannenmueller of Chaffee.

He was proceeded in death by a sister and two brothers.

The mother of his children, Arlene Harrell, Chaffee, MO, survives.

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.
