Jerry "Moe" Ramsey

Jerry Lee “Moe” Ramsey, 58 of Scott City, Missouri died Sunday, November 10, 2019 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born November 16, 1960 in Chaffee, Missouri to James Walter “Num” and Edna Mae Biggs Ramsey.

He had previously worked as a deck hand for Rushing, Mays Towing and Missouri Barge Lines. Most recently he was employed at Chaffee Food Giant.

He always took time out to help anybody in need. Fishing, hunting and socializing with his friends were his passions.

He is survived by his mother, Edna Ramsey of Scott City; a brother, James “Eddie” (Verna) Ramsey of Jefferson City, Missouri; three sisters, Betty (Dennis) Henson of Whitewater, Missouri, Donna Holshouser and Margie Fowler of Scott City and many nieces and nephews who he totally adored and loved!

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Jack Ramsey.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the time of service on Saturday at the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.

Memorial service will be at 6:00 pm on Saturday at the chapel with Rev. Randy Morse officiating.

Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
