Janet Lee Mccain

Janet Lee McCain, daughter of James Newkirk and the late Barbara Hedricks was born February 19, 1967 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed her life on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at her residence in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 56.

Mrs. McCain was a fun-loving free spirit. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She worked at RAPCO for several years. Janet loved to go Mushroom hunting and Motorcycle riding as long as it wasn’t too long.

Apart from her father, she is survived by her husband of 24 years: David McCain of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; one daughter: Mandy (Jeremy) Ashley of Chaffee, Missouri; one son: Cole (Amanda) Newkirk of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; three brothers: Carl, Jimmy and Shane Newkirk; three sisters: Carla Newkirk, Charlene Kimble, Star Newkirk; and two Grandchildren Miley and Aiden Ashely.

Apart from her mother, she was preceded in death by one son: Shannon, one sister: Carol and one granddaughter Rylee Ashley.

There will be a Celebration of Life Friday, September 8, 2023 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Missouri from 12:00pm until 2:00pm.
