Janet Elois Sturm (Speedy) Keesee, daughter of the late Morris (Bunior) and Laura (Glenn) Biggs Sturm was born on May 29, 1944, and gained her Angel wings on August 12, 2022, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 78.
She attended (IFA) Illmo – Fornfelt- Ancell School.
After her retirement, she lived in Jackson, Missouri and most recently in Scott City, Missouri. She enjoyed Bingo with her many lady friends, and especially enjoyed her pet dog Little Boy, and her cat Trouble. She enjoyed watching The Hallmark Movie Channel. She always made a great impression on everyone she met, she was full of life, and laughter. We’re going to miss mom and her spunky, sweet outlook on life.
Survivors include two sons, Robert McKinley Keesee of Grays Point, Missouri and Monty (Michelle) Keesee of Scott City, Missouri; a daughter, Kimberly (John) Adams of Scott City, Missouri; their father, Bob Keesee of Scott City, Missouri; two grandsons, Toby Kyle Adams and Tyler Ross Adams of Scott City, Missouri; a granddaughter, Heather Marie Keesee of Scott City, Missouri; step grandson, John David Adams II of Scott City, Missouri; a step granddaughter, Dana Marie (Adams) Hann of Scott City, Missouri; two great grandsons, Riker Wade Keesee and Beau Andru Keesee of Scott City, Missouri; a sister, Mary Jo (Johnny) Rogers of Scott City, Missouri; two brothers, Donnie (Xavier) Sturm of Gordonville, Missouri and William (Judy) Sturm of Milam, Tennessee and many other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; significant other, Robert Clark Wiggins; a grandson, Wade Robert Keesee; three brothers, Richard, Pete and Keith Sturm and a nephew Little Pete Sturm.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, Missouri. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randy Morse and Pastor Tommy Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the Lightner Cemetery in Scott City, Missouri.
