Jane James

Jane James, daughter of the late Ned and Hazel Ida (Macomas) Menz, was born April 13, 1933 in Randles, Missouri and departed this life on Friday, December 10 ,2021 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 88 years.

Mrs. James loved the lord above all else. She attended the Free Trinity Pentecostal Church in Randles, Missouri. She taught Sunday School at the First Assembly of God church to two and a half and three-year-olds in Kankakee, Illinois. If you didn’t know Jesus, she was sure to tell you about him. She was the sweetest woman you’ve ever known. She was the true example of love, forgiveness, warmth, kindness, patience, selfless, and had a HUGE heart for Jesus! She radiated the Holy Spirt.

On July 12,1949 she married Hadley James in Randles, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 5, 2009.

She is survived by two daughters: Deborah (Lawrence) Story of Advance, Missouri, Kathryn Smith of Bradley, Illinois; five grandchildren: Michael (Karrie) Whisker, Becky (John) Sherman, Jason Smith Sr., James Smith, Joshua Kezer, eleven great-grandchildren; and eight -great-great-grandchildren; one brother: Edward Menz of Wilmington, Illinois; one sister: Katie (Ralph) Magruder of Kankakee, Illinois,

Apart from her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter: Joni Kezer; one son: Hank James; two sisters: Bessie Dudley Phelps, Nora Bates.

Visitation will be on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 8:00pm at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Missouri. Funeral Service will follow on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 10:00am in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Don Leggett officiating. Burial will follow in Kenyon Cemetery in Delta, Missouri.
