James Parks, son of the late Jesse L. Parks and Violet Pearman Parks was born on June 8, 1943 in Sikeston, Missouri and departed his life on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the Southeast Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 78 years.
He was the owner and operator of Parks Farms, of the Baptist faith, and a resident of Delta. Mr. Parks was a past member of the Delta School Board for many years, former ringman of Beck and Beck Auction, and apprised land and property in the Southeast Missouri area.
He was united in marriage to Inah Mae Lanpher in Bloomfield, Missouri. Mrs. Parks survives of the home in Chaffee.
Besides his wife, survivors include two sons, Troy (Robin) Parks and Joseph (Missy) Parks all of Delta; by one daughter, Robin (Don) Cato of Advance, Missouri; one brother, Marian Parks of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; two sisters, Cordale Mitchell of Chaffee and Frances White of Owensboro, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Dakota (Taylor) Parks, Macey (Cory) Cooper, Alex (Laura) Parks, Jacob (Ashley) Parks, Dylan Cato, Denae Cato, and Diesel Cato; also by three great-grandchildren, Colt Parks, Ellie Cooper, and Caroline Parks.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, and one sister.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 from 11:00 until 1:00 P.M. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Funeral services will then be conducted on Friday at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Randy Conn officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
