James Edwards Owens

James Edward Owens Jr., son of the late James Edward Sr. and Doris Mae Heilman Owens was born March 19, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky and departed this life on January 8, 2021 at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 76 years.

Mr. Owens was a member of the First Baptist Church of Delta, and was a truck driver for many years until his retirement, then he took up his favorite hobby of model trains.

On July 22, 1989 he was united in marriage to Saundra Harris at the Ware Baptists Church in Ware, Illinois, she survives of the home in Chaffee. On   September 1, 1962 he was united in marriage to Brenda Lee, she preceded him in death on    December 13,1987.

Besides his wife, Mr. Owens is survived by two daughters: Kim (Bill) Boitnott of Chaffee, Missouri; Candice (Gary) Goins of Cobden, Illinois; one son: Gary (Bobbie) Owens of Chaffee, Missouri; one brother: Jack Owens of Gordonville, Missouri; eight grandchildren: Shaylin (Corbin) Carlton, Dalton Goins, Colton Goins, Bailey Owens, Austin Owens, Jett Lee Owens, Ben Boitnott   and Cortney Aden; and three great grandchildren and two precious dogs: Phoebe and Caesar.

Besides his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by one brother: Dennis Owens
