James Arthur Gloth
James Arthur Gloth, son of the late Clarence Gloth and Nancy Snider Gloth was born on February 2, 1943 in Whitewater, Missouri and departed his life on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at his residence in Chaffee, Missouri at the age of 79 years.
He retired from Arkansas Best Freight Company in June 2002 and was a member of the of the First Baptist Church in Delta. James was chairman of the Delta First Baptist Church Deacons and a 50-year member of the Whitewater Masonic Lodge.
On June 8, 1963 he was united in marriage to Carol Sue Tackett in Chaffee, Missouri. Mrs. Gloth survives of the home in Chaffee.
Besides his wife, survivors include one son, James (Erin) Gloth of Scott City; two daughters, Cindy (Donny) Bond of Kelso, Missouri and Jammie Gloth of St. Peters, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jackson Gloth, Carly Gloth, Lauren, and Katie Bond; by one great-granddaughter, Norah Sue Winchester; also by several nieces.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Gloth; by two sisters, Janet Cook and Dorothy Scheper.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 4:00 until 7:00 at the First Baptist Church in Delta. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November, 3, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Delta with Rev. Randy Conn officiating. Interment will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
