James L. Dohogne

James L. Dohogne, age 90 of Oran Missouri passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

He was born December 30, 1931 at Lone Rock between Oran and Chaffee. His parents were the late John and Laura (Dirnberger) Dohogne. He graduated from Oran High School in 1949. James married Mary Louise McBride on February 15, 1958 at Guardian Angel Church in Oran. She preceded him in death on August 23, 2016.

James farmed his entire life on the family farm that was purchased in 1892. He served our nation in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church and a member of the St. Joseph’s Men’s Sodality.

Survivors include a son, Father David Dohogne of Charleston, Missouri; two daughters, Nancy L. LeGrand of Fairfax, Virginia and Cynthia A. (Joe) Cobb of Eldon, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Mary Ann (Jason) Keller; Eric Cobb; Caleb (Priscilla) LeGrand; Jason LeGrand; Megan (Dan) Anderson; Daniel (Jacqueline) LeGrand; Julianna (Bruce) Boydstun; seven great-grandchildren, Westyn and Reeve Keller; Alaythia, Serenity and Illianna Anderson; Matthew LeGrand; Atlas Boydstun.

Viewing for family will be 4:00 – 5:00 pm. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, Missouri.

The Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Guardian Angel Catholic Church with Father David Dohogne as the celebrant. Burial will follow at Guardian Angel Cemetery.
