Jack D. Moore, Sr.

Jack Moore, Sr., son of the late Jesse Moore and Pearl Meyer Moore was born on April 1, 1932 in Flat River, Missouri and departed his life on Friday, December 16, 2022 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri at the age of 90 years.

He was a former employee of Wetterau Food in Scott City and a resident of Sikeston.  Mr. Moore was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Nascar fan.  Jack enjoyed planting a large produce garden every year.

On July 2, 1950 he was united in marriage to Wilma Ruth Crader in Pochahontas, Arkansas.  Mrs. Moore preceded him in death.

Survivors include one son, Jack (Missy) Moore, Jr. of Sikeston; by one daughter, Mary (Bill) St Mary of Chaffee; two grandsons, Scott (Angel) Brant of Bay City, Texas and Tim (Shelly) Brant of Erin, Tennessee; six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; also, by his best friend, Bill Beck of Sikeston.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Willard Moore; and by two nephews Mike and Terry Moore.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapels is assisting with arrangements.  Memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
