Jacilyn Skinner

Jacilyn Renee Skinner, 49, passed away on December 2, 2019. She was born on December 19, 1969, to Teresa and Jack Skinner in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Jacilyn Renee attended St. Vincent de Paul School and graduated from Notre Dame Regional High School. She attended Southeast Missouri State University, and was a member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. Jacilyn Renee moved from Missouri to the Gulf Coast of Florida when she was in her early 20’s. She became an enthusiast of the beach and had a passion for fashion. Jacilyn Renee was a kind, witty, beautiful person with an innate sense style and love for all animals, particularly her sweet dog, Zuke, whom she often referred to as the love of her life. She enjoyed international and stateside travel to destinations including England, Scotland, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Boston, Colorado and New York City. She was successfully self-employed for the majority of her career and had a strong entrepreneurial sense.
Jacilyn Renee was a grandma’s girl who had fond memories of dress-up and sleepovers with her cousins and trips to the corner store for blueberry muffins, ice cream, and Sweet Sue Chicken and Dumplings when grandma wasn’t cooking. She will be deeply missed by her parents, sister, Tabetha Ruhstorfer, brother-in-law, Michael, nephews Braxton and Mike, nieces Kayla and Leighton, many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and brother, Chad Skinner, with whom she has now joined in peace.
