Irene Klueppel

Irene Bertha Klueppel, 79 of Benton, Missouri died Friday, April 16, 2021 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri.  She was born August 14, 1941 in Oran, Missouri to Bernard and Christine Brockmeyer Jansen.  She married Joseph R. Klueppel on August 18, 1962.

Irene was a farm wife and stay at home mom raising her children.  She later went to work for Walgreens in Cape Girardeau, after 25 years of employment she retired in 2019.  She had a strong faith and was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton and St. Ann’s Ladies Sodality.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph; three sons, Rob Klueppel of Cadiz, Kentucky, John (Marilyn) Klueppel of Sikeston and David Klueppel of Benton; three daughters, Janet (John) Dean of Hannibal, Missouri,  Yolanda (Farzad) Mohebbi of Salt Lake City, UT and Patty (John) Follmer of O’Fallon, Missouri; grandchildren, Courtney, Rachael, Jake and Sam Klueppel, Mary Liz, Anna Kate, Jack and Vincent Klueppel, Brody, Joe and Beth Dean, Gaby Clovis, John, Danny, Nick and Tony Follmer and Kiyan and Maya Mohebbi and a sister, Corena (Leroy) Berkbigler of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and a sister.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  Her grandchildren were here pride and joy.  She was know for her big smile and kind words of encouragement.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton, Missouri. Prayer service will be at 7:00 pm.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am at the church with Revs. John Harth and Normand Varone  as concelebrants.

Burial will be in St. Denis Cemetery in Benton.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or St. Denis Catholic School.
