Hester Carolyn Schott

Hester Carolyn Schott, daughter of the late Bunkie Franklin (B.F.) Canady and Versie Mae (Henson) Canady was born on January 9, 1944 in Cave Creek, Arkansas and departed her life on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at her residence in Oran, Missouri at the age of 80 years.

Mrs. Schott was the former owner of Schott Poultry and Fleet Service, a homemaker, and a member of the Apostolic Promise Church in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

On February 23, 1963 she was united in marriage to Leo Curtis Schott.  Mr. Schott preceded her in death on April 22, 2018.

Survivors include two sons, Kirk Douglas (Darlene) Schott of Forsyth, Missouri and Jeffrey Todd (Leah) Schott of Bell City, Missouri; by one daughter, Kelley Renee (Steve) Prochack of Oran; two brothers, John Canady of Benton and Bobby Canady of Oran; three sisters, Edith Daugherty of Williamsville, Lisa Gadberry of Oran, and Tammy Belt of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Kirk Schott, Karen Weyrauch, Taran Bouapha, Kelsey Webb, Kordell Prochack, Alicia Buckner, and Levi Schott; twelve great-grandchildren, Kilee, Kashlee, Kanton, Paisley, Scarlett, Jacob, Kenzie, Grayson, Layton, Josiah, Isaiah, and Silas.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Oran.  Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran with Rev. Tim Lee officiating.  Interment will be held at 1:00 PM in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Missouri.
