Henry William Trankler

Henry W. Trankler, of Oran, Missouri, son of the late Chris and Agnes (VanderMierden) Trankler, was born June 17, 1940 in Portageville, Missouri and departed this life on Monday, September 20, 2021 at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 81 years.

Mr. Trankler was a member of the Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, Knights of Columbus Council 4311, and the Saint Joseph Men’s Sodality.

On September 15, 1962 he married Phyllis Ann Sobba. She preceded him in death on July 14, 2018.

He is survived by two sons: Keith Trankler of Oran, Missouri, Gregg (Reba) Trankler of Oran, Missouri; two daughters: Lisa (Donald) Beckham of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Nancy Reece, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; two sisters: Wilma (late Ralph) Seyer, Barbara Trankler; seven brothers: Theodore (Carol) Trankler, Ed (Shirley) Trankler, James (Rita) Trankler, Charles (Sondra) Trankler, George (Carla) Trankler, Frank (Debbie) Trankler, David Trankler; ten grandchildren: Rachel (Aaron) Harland, Ryan (Samantha) Trankler, Trevor (Caitlyn) Beckham, Trenton (Emily) Beckham, Clayton (Alyssa) Reece, Zachary (Michaela) Reece, Amanda (Matt) Potts, Schyler (Erica) Trankler, Thomas Trankler, Myles Trankler; and eleven great grandchildren: Clara Harland, Avery Trankler, Brooks Beckham, Brynn and Brighton Beckham, Reese, Reagan and Oliver Potts, Alaina, Hayden and Waylon Trankler.

Visitation will be from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, Missouri. There will be a Parish Prayer Service in the funeral home chapel at 6:00 pm with the Knights of Columbus service immediately following. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, Missouri with Rev. Joseph Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery in Oran, Missouri.
