Hattie M. Bonifield

Hattie M. Bonifield, formally of Oran, daughter of the late Carlton “Carl” Hodges and Hattie Maude (Miller) Hodges was born August 8, 1933 in Scott County, Missouri and departed this life on Friday, December 25, 2020 at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri at the age of 87 years old.

Mrs. Bonifield was a hard worker her whole life. She loved painting, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She also loved to travel, especially Florida during the winter.

She is survived by one son: Rex Overbey Sr.  and wife Opal of Leopold, Missouri, one sister Ella Louise Hanley of Moberly, Missouri; three brothers: Jack Hodges and wife Rose Marie of Houston, Texas, Clinton Hodges and wife Doris of Benton, Missouri, Roy Hodges and wife Cheryl of Paducah, Kentucky; one sister in-law Christine Hodges of Oran, Missouri; two grandchildren Rex Overbey Jr. and wife Misty of Scott City, MO; Jeff Overbey and wife Kristen of Jackson, Missouri; three great grandchildren: Paige, Landon, and Quade Overbey

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three husbands: Kenneth Rex Overbey, Vernon Hanselman, Charles Alfred Bonifield, and one brother: Omer Hodges.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm   on Monday, December 28,2020 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, Missouri. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday December 29, 2020 with Pastor Tammy Hargis officiating. Condolences: www.amick-burnettfuneralchapel.com
