Harlan Gerald Sadler

Harlan Sadler, son of the late Monroe Sadler and Ada Roberts Sadler was born on August 27, 1938 in Chaffee, Missouri and departed this life on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois at the age of 82 years.

Mr. Sadler was a retired Science Teacher and Chairman of the Science Department at Scott City High School, former owner and operator of Global Enterprise Services in Chaffee, Missouri from 1992 until 2019, and former owner and operator of Sadler’s Photography Studio for over 20 years. He was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau and a former resident of Chaffee.

He had an abundant Love of God and enjoyed spreading the Word with everyone. He was a true disciple of the Lord.

On December 22, 1962 he was united in marriage to Charlotte Noble. Mrs. Sadler survives of the home in Gillespie, Illinois.

Besides his wife, survivors include two sons, Steven (Patricia) Sadler of Gillespie, Illinois and Brian (Melanie) Sadler of Bogart, Georgia; two brothers, Norval Sadler of Cape Girardeau and Dean Sadler of Marietta, Georgia; six grandchildren, Garrett (Maggie) Sadler, Gretchen Sadler, Caitlin Sadler, Aiden Sadler, Joshua Hill, and Mary Beth (Chris) Wimberly; also, by five great-grandchildren, Xavier Smith, Aaliyah Smith, Alana Smith, Nolan Wimberly, and Eli Wimberly.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Woody Sadler, Edward Cotton Sadler, and Donald Sadler.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the First General Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Funeral services will then be conducted on Saturday at 12:00 noon with Rev. Jim Rudolph officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview General Baptist Church Cemetery near Advance, Missouri.
