Harland Jacob Davis

Harland J. Davis, son of the late Edgar Davis and Jane (Hester) Davis was born on August 29, 1937 in Granite City, Illinois and departed his life on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 85 years. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force (Airman 2nd Class), and former employee as a mechanical engineer at McDonald-Douglas Aircraft in St. Louis, Missouri. Mr. Davis was a member of the Commerce Baptist Church, Cape Girardeau Eagles #3775, and a resident of Scott City, Missouri. Survivors include a host of cousins, Ruth Ann (Joe) Crader of Delta, David (Nancy) Hester of Delta, Nancy Stoffregen of Delta; Al (Delores) Hester of Illinois, Maebelle (Alvin) Schearf of Delta, Mabeline (Junior) Bartels of Delta, Martha Nelson of Cape Girardeau, Frances (Mike) Hannah of Texas, Ruslyn Andrews of Kansas and Toby Davis. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. in the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee with Rev. David Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Kenyon Cemetery near Delta, Missouri. Family has requested that donations be made to Commerce Baptist Church or to Kenyon Cemetery association.
