Gloria “Gayle” Wright

Gloria “Gayle”  Wright, 83 of Scott City, Missouri died Monday, December 30, 2024 at her home.  She was born May 21,1941 in Dudley, Missouri to Charles and Jesse Crank Ashbaugh.  She married was to Donald Wright on June 29, 1963.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; two daughters, Leslie (Greg) Compass of Scott City and Kim Buckingham of Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania; a brother, Steve Ashbaugh of Mooringsport, Louisianna; two sisters, Carolyn Lowe of Puxico, Missouri and Sheila McGhee of Kerrville, Texas; five grandchildren, Renee (Compass) Ervin, Matthew Buckingham, Alex Buckingham, Nicholas Buckingham and Hayley (Compass) Ryan and seven great grandchildren Isaac Ervin, Cadence Ervin, Benny Smith, Millie Smith, Claire Ervin, Topaz Buckingham and Cameron Ryan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Scottie Lynn Wright and a sister Deborah.

Visitation will be 10:00 am – 11:00 am on Saturday, January 11,2025 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City

Memorial service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday at the chapel.
