Gladys Chambers

Gladys Germaine Chambers was born August 21, 1945 in Grundy, Virginia and entered heavens gates January 24, 2021at 75 years old. She is the daughter of Carl and Clementine “Clem” Chambers. After the death of her brother, Dewey, she took on the hardest and most rewarding role of her life. She became “Mom” to three young and very active children. She then became a nurse and worked for the Chaffee School District for 30 years. She also worked at the Chaffee Hospital until it closed, then worked for Life Care and finished her years of service at SADI in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Ms. Gladys is survived by two of her children: Nancy Dement of Chaffee, MO, Mary Ann (Daryl) Wyatt of Kennett, MO; one daughter-in-law: Mary Chambers of Chaffee, MO; one brother: Thurman (Pat) Chambers of Brooksville, Florida; nine grandchildren: Jimmy Chambers, Nikki (Marcus) LeGrand, John (Miranda Ruedrick) Chambers, Daniel Dement Jr., Andy Dement, Tabetha Dement, Jose Daniel Villatoro Jr., Wanda (Jonathan) Payne, Cory (Elizabeth) Wyatt; seven great grandchildren: Noah Blanchfield, Shawn Dement, Michael Goggins Jr.,  Caleb Cobb, Avery Payne, Jon Wyatt Payne, and Carter Wyatt.

Apart from her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son: Jim Chambers; 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

There will be a graveside service at 10 am on Thursday January 28, 2021 at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee, Missouri, with Rev. Randy Conn officiating. Condolences: www.amick-burnettfuneralchapels.com
