Gary Schaefer

Gary Wayne Schaefer, 71 of Scott City, Missouri died Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Stockhoff Memorial Nursing Home in Fredericktown, Missouri.  He was born June 11, 1952 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Anton John and Anna Catherine Glastetter Schaefer.  He was married to Patricia Ann Townsend on September 29, 2000 in the Virgin Islands.  She preceded him in death on December 4, 2001 in Marlow, Oklahoma.

He is survived by a brother, Anton (Barbara) Schaefer of Columbia, Missouri and two sisters, Laverne Owens of Warrensburg, Missouri and Georgia Leible of Kelso.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Clyde, Robert and Edward.

A memorial mass will be held  at 10:00 am on Friday, March 8, 2024 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee, Missouri.
