Garry Lee Rainwater

Garry Rainwater, son of the late William Roscoe Rainwater and Esther Mae VanMatre was born on May 1, 1947 in Clubb, Missouri and departed this life on Monday, May 4, 2020 at his daughter’s residence in Bell City, Missouri at the age of 73.

Mr. Rainwater was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War, former mechanic, and was of the Baptist Faith.

On October 25, 1969 he was united in marriage to M. Carolyn Rainwater. She preceded him in death in 2008.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbie Davis (Jeff) of Puxico, Missouri and Michelle Garner (Phillip) of Bell City, Missouri; three brothers, Robt Rainwater (Janet) of Puxico, James Rainwater (Pat) of Centerville, Missouri, and Marvin Rainwater (Jean) of Bloomfield; by one sister, Nancy Lee (Gail) of York, Pennsylvania; also by five grandchildren, Corey Davis, Brent Wondel, Johnathon Davis, Zachary Hueckel, and Emmalee Garner.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death two brothers, Larry Rainwater and Thomas Rainwater; by one sister, Darlene Rainwater Meloy.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Oran. Funeral service will then be conducted at 12:00 Noon at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran with Rev. Bill Fox officiating. Interment will follow in the Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery in Advance, Missouri.
