Imogene Clark Graviett

Our beloved mother, Imogene Clark Graviett, gained her angel wings on Friday, August 2, 2019 at her residence in Sikeston, Missouri at the age of 91. Imogene was born on November 21, 1927 in Sikeston, Missouri to the late Ben F. and Nellie Mae (Altom) Clark. She met the love of her life, Jerome Graviett and they were united in marriage on December 1, 1943.

She sang in the church choir and was a member of WMU and the Golden Agers. She retired from Thorngates, where she was a presser for many years. She loved shopping, playing cards, and dominos with friends. By far, her biggest joy in life was spending time with her family and having family gatherings.

She joined her heavenly family members who proceeded her in death including her loving husband of 36 years, her parents, three brothers, Wayne Allen Clark, Robert Clark, and Ben F. Clark; by one sister Lucille Thackery, a daughter-in-law, Doris Graviett, and one grandson, Travis Graviett.

Family and friends may join in her celebration of life at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home on Tuesday August 6, 2019. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Interment will follow at the Friend Cemetery in Oran, Missouri.
